I've been using a computer for about as long as I can remember, and been drawing since
before that. As a kid, I used to most frequent BBcode forums, Deviantart, Youtube, Virtual
pets sites like Neopets, then Tumblr.
I've seen the good, the bad, and the very ugly and how the internet has grown since. Even if
I spent my childhood in web 2.0, there were enough vestiges of web 1.0 to go around still
and give me that nostalgia. My knowledge of html and web coding as a whole is still beginner
level, but it's never too late to learn especially in a space now dominated by centralized
social media with little room for customization.
I'm deeply involved in fandom and always have been. The first fanfic I read was for the
movie Balto, and it--though full of explicit content my child brain couldn't understand at
the time--inspired me thoroughly to start writing my own stories, especially my own
fanfiction.
I am of the belief that engaging in fandom does not dampen creativity but instead helps
enhance it. In fact, many big-name fans have actually gone on to work on official projects
later on.
Now I don't love social media, but there's other sites I *do* like!
Please open in new tabs. Iframes doesn't behave nicely with other sites.
TumblrYou are Windows XP. You are the newest Windows girl, and fairly popular. You’re pretty stable, and easily the prettiest of the bunch, but you can also be a bit shallow and you’re always hungry. Also, why does your name look like the irritated emoticon?
